About Courchevel 1850

If you’re looking for luxury and access to the vast network of pistes that make up the Three Valleys, Courchevel in the upper part of the Tarentaise Valley, is the ideal base for your next ski holiday. At an altitude of 1,850 metres, the pioneering resort of Courchevel 1850 offers luxury establishments that radiate excellence over the resort’s surrounding villages. A top destination, Courchevel is also a paradise for aficionados of shopping, culinary delights, partying and evening entertainment. Between the Michelin-starred restaurants and gourmet delights, magical fireworks and resort illuminations, the stars are out in force. It takes just two ski lifts to reach the Saulire summit, the resort’s highest point at an altitude of 2,738 metres. From there, you can choose between easy skiing, a challenging run in the legendary Grand Couloir or setting off towards the 3 Vallées’ wide open spaces…
Although the resort has a reputation as a playground for the rich and famous, the skiing really is first class. The local area has a good mix of tree-lined slopes below the resort and wide, open runs above it. Options are seemingly limitless, especially for keen piste skiers with access to the rest of the Three Valleys and the resorts of Méribel and Val Thorens – via the Saulire and the Col de la Loze.
